Blue Line/NYTEX I league

As promised, we would bring you info on the leauges opening up at blueline when they occured.

We talked to Knute Anderson over at Blueline/NYTEX (whatever they're calling it these days)

and in order of serving you, the north texas hockey player. We give you more hockey (as Blog Captain says, we are not bound to one rink or the other) LET CAPITALISM FLOW!!!!

For the I league at NYTEX: Begins July 21-Oct 13
-$2900 for a team.
-$199 per player

-Coaches are USA hockey certified
-3 Practices
-9 games: 14 min Periods, OT, Shootout if needed
-Refereed by MOAH refs (is that a good thing????)
-Players recieve pass to Adult Clinic which takes place thursday nights.

-Pretty much a big stick in puck with Anderson and the Bramahs coaches. Specialization on hockey skills and game situtations.
(we heard this thing as a whole was going to be cheap)

-3 Drop in Passes

-Each team sends a representative to an All Star team halfway through the season. Teams send two representatives, coors lite will sponsor the event providing jerseys. All Star game is a way for players to be identified to move to next league up. (Every league will have an all star game)

From what we hear, Euless will also be doing an all star games for the same purposes.

We may help everyone out and make a big spreadsheet making a comparison so you the hockey player dont have to pull your hair out trying to figure out where you want to play

Do they have ice over there yet? Are they going to tell anyone about it? When will it open?
Do they have a web site where they can communicate with prospective customers? Will they ever answer the phone number on the Brahmas web site? Will they get an answering machine?

It's obvious NYTEX already has some of the same irksome communication problems that seem to plague hockey and rink managers. What's up with that?

It's a customer service business, folks. It's kind of hard to be your customer when we can't find out about your product without getting in our cars and hauling out to NRH every week to see if frank or knute happen to be hanging out behind the building.

Rule Number 1: Talk to your customers. It's 2007. The web makes this exceedingly easy to do.

No. 2: Answer your email in a timely fashion.

Pond Hockey starts over there this Sunday at 12:15. Ice was already laid a week or so ago.

Knute has never been good about returning emails or phone calls - something anyne who has ever played at DPSC Euless should know well.

Has anyone heard what night?

Does anyone have a link to Blueline or know what their schedule looks like this week for pickup/stick times?

Thanks!

TO WHO EVER WROTE THE COMMENT ABOUT US ALREADY HAVING COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS DO THE STAFF AT NYTEX A FAVOR AND GO PLAY HOCKEY SOMEWHERE ELSE! WE HAVE BEEN WORKING 20 HOURS A DAY TO GET OUR FACILITY UP AND RUNNING AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE A LITTLE BIT OF A BREAK! WE WILL LET YOU KNOW WHEN WE ARE OPEN FOR BUISNESS UNTIL THEN KEEP YOUR OPINIONS TO YOURSELF! AND NEXT TIME HAVE THE BALLS TO LEAVE YOUR NAME SO WE CAN RESPOND TO YOU DIRECTLY!

I agree that NYTEX is doing a great job getting the place ready so quickly and people should give them a break. But is this post really from someone at NYTEX?.....who didn't have the balls to leave his name? Its probably a post from some bored prick trying to make NYTEX look bad.

Yeah, the grammar is terrible!

I dont understand why they are having I-league on Saturday. Why not do it on a differnt night and get most of the players, rather than doing it on Saturday and just get some? That seems like they don't want alot of players in their I league. I can't believe that alot of players are going to leave Euless where the competition is so good for an I-league that is just starting.

Ringers are welcome at NYTEX. Leave Useless now. Please

just wait and see boys and girls we already have a number of teams signed up! Like Nate said competition is a good thing! if your tired of the same old crap at Euless then come and give us a try!

I heard that Knute spells his name "KaNoot" on bathroom stalls

C'mon now are we to believe someone representing NYTEX would be this stupid? I love the irony in:

" THEN KEEP YOUR OPINIONS TO YOURSELF! AND NEXT TIME HAVE THE BALLS TO LEAVE YOUR NAME SO WE CAN RESPOND TO YOU DIRECTLY!

NYTEX SPORTS......."

Freaking brilliant!

nytex is talking a lot of smack, but the truth is they're weeks behind schedule, the second rink is nowhere near ready, and the brahmas website still says nothing about a potential opening.

rumor is they're having trouble getting an occupancy permit from the city to open the place to the public.

this thing is far from a certainty.

let us know when you get it figured out, boys.

Anonymous said...

That would be odd to have problems getting the permit as the City was supposedly involved on getting it bought and re-opened.

I'd still like to see a website too.

You people have no idea what you are talking about I visited the rink yesterday and they will have both rinks up and running this weekend! as far as the CO permit thats total crap! from what I hear everything is coming along fine! In fact Knute Anderson tells us that the Adult leagues will start very soon! It would be nice if Keith Andreson would stop spreading all of this false information! Why not stop by the rink and see for yourself!!!!!!!

Adult leagues are scheduled to start next Friday!

never met keith.

a nytex update today ... phone answerer named amy (who sounds hot) says there's still no date for an opening to the public. she says there's still no good info on the website ... she says, um, we're working on that.

yep, sounds like everything is "coming along fine."
