So while we havent gotten the new standing ironed out from knute…(ugh)
We can give you a preview of this weekend’s action…I league style.
But before that….post game recap that wasn’t mentioned before…
Borrachos 4 Shockers 2 (Saturday)
Borrachos Goalie Jesse Gonzales made several insain saves on the night to shut down the shockers. Borrachos had a a 3-0 lead goin into the third, but the shockers rolled back on goals from Nate Hodges and Ott Belis to cut the lead to 3-2. However Jason Neal would get his 2nd goal of the night to put this one away for the Borrachos in the 4-2 victory....apparently the notorious phantoms were spread throughout this game....7 phantoms playing...probably more.
This week
Patriots vs Spiders: 7:45pm
Patriots won this matchup last season in a glorious battle 4-2. Spiders need a win or they’ll drop to 0-3. Patriots trying to bounce back from their heatbreaking loss to Mayhem
Leftovers vs Borrachos: 8:15pm
Borrachos as talked about above look to make it back to back wins. Leftovers are still in their shootout with the slackers.
Brewzers vs Komets: 9pm
Komets trying to keep their point streak alive. They have gotten points in both of their games this season. For the avid fan…this matchup went to a shootout last season.
Stingers vs Mayhem: 9:30pm
Game of the night here folks. Rumor has it that Barry Melrose himself is coming down to see this one. Both teams are 2-0 with almost no goals against average. Goalie battles, Players Battles…grab a cold one, a turkey leg and a bag of chips should be good.
Ice Holes vs Snipers: 10:15pm
Ice Holes trying to remain undefeated. Snipers always come to play. We wish we knew which conference these two teams were going to be in…..
Puckers vs Stickmen: 10:45pm
Puckers coming off a royal thrashing of the spiders last week, Stickmen are struggling to score goals…this one could get ugly. We hope not.
Blue Devils vs Slackers: 11:30pm
We don’t know much about which “blue devils” team will show up…cant figure you boys out. Slackers are still in a shootout with the leftovers.
Shockers vs Fugaweez: 11:55pm
Fugs don’t want to drop to 0-3, while the shockers have the talent to rise to the top in the silver division. Goalies: Bobby Michaledas vs Chris Duran is always a good battle.

For all I-Leaguers to know. # 89 and # 76 for the Borrachos do not belong in the I-league. Please go to Knute or sign a petition to have these B-League players banded from I-league.

Ahh the mysterious B-league gremlins appear in the I-league once again... It used to be "C-Leaguers" but now the talent level of the sandbaggers seems to get better all the time. Personally I'm waiting for the Eric Lindros sighting - rumor has it that some of the Stars are going to start sandbagging it in the Euless I League. Ralph & Razor were seen lurking around the Crossbar (of course on opposite sides, because they hate each other). Afterall who can pass on a Saturday night hockey and a few brews afterwards.
Maybe someone should "Tonya Harding" them after the next game ... LMAO!
I's just not really fair for us who are learning to play the game, and certain upper level individuals skate circles around us. This is an "I"-league, and if you didnt know it, "I' stands for INSTRUCTIONAL! if you're a great skater and a great puck handler, go to a level that you'd be better suited for. Leave the INSTRUCTIONAL league to the BEGINNERS!
I thought I-League meant Iron Man League

There have been rumors of the Iowa Stars scouting several of the Borracho players. Insiders say the players of interest are not likely to make the jump to Iowa this year due to their inability to leave the state pending numerous legal preceedings related to an unfortunate barnyard incident in Keller. Sheep and liquor are a dangerous combination. One other potential barrier to a late season call up are the whispers of a steroid problem in the Borracho locker room.
I am always a fan of the conspiracy theory, so here is mine: Modano is back with the Stars...the Borrachos are unbeaten in the last two...coincidence? I don't think so. My guess is Modano has secretly been subbing for the Borrachos to get back into game shape.

I'm thrilled to be considered a "B Leaguer.......Thanks for showing us your lack of hockey knowledge. Borrachos coord......I won't make it on Sat, I'll be filling in for Lindros next week.....sorry
