Stanley Keg Playoffs Set
The pairings are in, freshly blessed by our great leader, Knute Anderson. The tiebreakers were thus:
1) Head to Head
2) Fewest Losses
3) Most Wins
4) Fewest Goals Against
5) Coin Toss
Only the Puckers-Fugaweez tiebreaker went beyond head-to-head. Puckers won that by fewest goals against.
Good luck to everyone on Saturday night.

i like pigs feet..
Um, alright. Let's hear it for pigs feet.
Bold Predictions: (from bottom to top)
Komets edge out the Fugaweez in a bloody struggle.
REDRUM murders the Puckers
Blue Devils run over the brewzers
Ice Holes slaughter the snipers
Stickmen beat the wolverines
Spiders capture the Bronze metal over the Stingers.
Keg Game: (it will be the greatest keg game ever)
Phantoms win 3-1.
The Pats only scored 15 goals the entire season and went to the Keg game. Wow. Give it up for Ellis.
I've played against the Pats and watched a couple of their games. Ellis is great, but they dont exactly give up a lot of shots. Once they score their one goal, they lock down defensively the rest of the game.
I think more than half of their wins were shutouts.
Blah, blah, blah
Say what you want about the Patriots. The Keg game is a mere formality.
The Keg is at the engravers as we speak having PHANTOMS carved into it.
I dont believe that engravers "carve", sir.
And please don't say they "whittle"
Or "scratch"
Lets show some respect for the engravers of the world. There may be one in your neighborhood.
You read it here: Phantoms are too cocky. Cocky teams can be laid low in big games.
it is hard to root for those cocky d.bags
Phantoms just planned their victory parade.
Just announced--Phantom victory parade is Saturday from 5-7pm. Keg game at 9:15pm. BE THERE!
Go Pats!
Go Komets!
The truly dedicated will be skating tomorrow at 7am. See you there.
The phantoms will be signing autographs and taking pictures with Fans and the Keg from 7pm-845pm.
We will double Ellis's goals allowed this Saturday.
Go Phantoms!!!
You'll need more than double. That would be 1.2 goals. Not enough.
You'll lose.
Defense wins championships.
No, I meant we'll score at least 5 goals (double his season goals allowed from 5 to 10--get it?)
Phantoms championship merchandise (shirts, hats, commemorative pucks)on sale now at your local Dick's Sporting Goods and select Albertsons.
Many of you have asked about the Phantoms championship DVD--"A Perfect Season"--that Sports Illustrated is currently producing. Nothing new to report, but we'll let you know when copies are made available to the public. Thanks for your continued support.
I've been trying to figure out how to email the greatness that is the Blog Captain... I don't see any way to do that on the site. Am I blind?
i sure hope none of you Phantoms are posting this BS... has the game been played?? did they win already?? then STFU! as a member of the Phantoms, (that's right) it's really disappointing to think that they/we would start celebrating prior to the result of the game.. if a member from another team posts comments on who wins, that's fine.. however, don't ever underestimate your opponent, or a cat like Ellis for that matter. just shut the F up and play hockey..
p.s. i like pigs feet also..
stinger:
leave your email here and the greatness will email you.

Are you Patriots getting all this bulletin board material?

The Patriots are probably the ones posting this BS.

Math Wiz: By geting the average of the Phantoms GFAverage and The Patriots GAA added together. And Vice Versa.
The raw score came out to be....
Phantoms: (4.125 GFA + .6 Patriots GAA)/2 = 2.36
Patriots: (1.875 GFA + 1.1 Phantoms GAA)/2 = 1.48
So we are either looking at a 2-1 Phantoms win, or a 2-2 Game that goes to OT/Shootout...all bets are then off.
Pats 3, Phantoms 1
also i like pigs feet.
That math stuff only begins to work if we both played the same opponents. We played a tougher schedule than the Pats.
Put it in 6 inch headlines--
WE WILL WIN THE GAME
