Also, there is indicated by Yockey that a "skills clinic" will be offered at 10:15pm to teams that played in a 9pm game that evening. Every team will get the opportunity to use the clinic twice (hopefully there are more people there than there were at our practices)

6:30pm (Green) Warriors vs Snipers: Unknown about the warriors, they lost some players though over the "offseason".
7:45pm (Gold) Spiders vs Komets: Komets get a fresh dose of healthy competition as they take on one of the former Gold Division's best teams. Who are Gallagher and Atkins playing for?
7:45pm (Green) Puckers vs Stickmen: What team will the puckers have this season, and can the Stickmen generate any offense?
9pm (Gold) Patriots vs Ice Holes: The D league Spartans will battle each other in this one.
9pm (Green) Leftovers vs Blue Devils: Did the leftovers try to sign up for the minor???? Blue Devils should rock the casbah.

you guys gotta just let the ringer thing go...there will ALWAYS be guys that would rather play a level down and be "that guy", there will NEVER be a system in place to police that kind of thing, and frankly, if it bothers you that much...then put all that energy into skate school or the clinics or getting more ice time than one game a week (no one gets any better that way). Besides, you get better by going up against people better than yourself - thats not just hockey, thats pretty much true in all competition. giddyup people!

That would make sense. What I don't understand is the need to bitch and complain about people that this person no longer interacts with. If they have moved on to bigger and better things at NYTEX and they are pleased with their decision then why continue to slam Keith and Tom and the DPSC. If you really have moved on physically, then move on emotionally as well.
It's always nice to have someone use profanity to describe someone else when they post anonymously. If you guys have a beef with someone then take it up when you actually see them. You know the schedule's and you know who they are so let them have your two cents in person rather than venting here. And just to show I'm not a hypocrite.

I'm neither a ringer nor pissed about ringers. What gets me is people that want to jump up on their sanctimonious soapboxes and preach to everyone about what they need to do.
This is, has always been, and always will be a Beer League. Nothing more, nothing less. It's something to do on a Saturday night. Accept it for what it is and what it isn't and be happy and have fun.
I don't have any complaints about ringers or how the league is operating. I, for one, think Yockey is doing a good job. The schedule is out, we've got good ice times, it is what it is. Life is good, let's play hockey!

I read all the way through the G.N.'s post in the hopes of being entertained or in some way enlightened. But then my logical and EXPANSIVE mind found 'him' to be dishonest with himself. Surely he has used the phrase 'choking the chicken' since being held back in the 5th grade. I myself, having been held back in only the 3rd grade (correction: FLUNKED the 3rd grade), have an understanding of being true to ones own self.
