So mayhem and stingers are gone? That is good news for the Patriots.

Hey Patriots, if you add a couple more guys that play in the C and D league then you might, just might, win an I league cup. Keep your dreams alive!

why is there only 4 teams in the minors?

To the Patriots hater...

"yes, the hockey lord. Adorded by millions."

except Casey Jenkins....

Lots of empty ice last night. The Cross Bar was even emptier (except for the rantings of Zack the nutcase bar back). Guess every one took to weekend off...

this is i league, we do'nt need practice

Anonymous said...

yeah right... I need more than 1 practice!!!

Anonymous said...

the ice was empty b/c the good players have moved on to NYTEX, where real hockey is played.

Anonymous said...

I heard nytex's compressors were already screwing up...

Whatever, love or hate NYTEX who cares. I like alternatives. It was a shame that there was so much unused ice Saturday. DPSD should have scrapped the practices and scheduled an I/D league drop in night.

BTW: "I heard nytex's compressors were already screwing up... "

I heard that NYTEX had great ice - but no beer. There are pluses and minuses to everything...

the ice at NYTEX is great, however the locker rooms are tiny. I played in front of 2,300 empty seats on Saturday. They missed quite a show.

i heard that they (DPSC) are getting rid of the major/minor i leagues.

Anonymous said...

ice is smooth at nytex but too soft. locker rooms suck.

You can tell the ice is fresh at NYTEX; it doesn't have that old-spit and blood smell like DPSC. I will be attending the Thursday hockey camp(s), but will still be playing with DPSC for the time being (even though NYTEX is 3 miles from my house). That may end up being my open-skate hangout as well.

Video of the week? Love this no matter how old it gets....

Word is Chris Skupien is working on it but is only wasting his time because Bohl will call it no goal anyways!

You guys act like NYTEX is the only hockey rink other than the DPSC. Lets see, there's Ice at the Parks, Addison Square Garden, ITC, Fort Worth Ice, etc. It sounds like you lazy chumps will bitch about anything. You want options? Drive a little further. Stop talking about NYTEX like its the new hockey arena blessed by GOD!

Anonymous said...

Ice at the parks blows, I live by there and drive further to the DPSC. Plus god dislikes purple so I know he didnt bless NYTEX!

Texas/Ft Worth Ice or whatever it's called these days (if it is still open) BLOWS. Talk about a cursed place. Ice around the dasher boards is non-existent - a great way to break an ankle.

There are only two legit places in west of 360 to play: DPSD Euless and NYTEX. Try out both places and play at the one you like the best. If you hate purple there is plenty of green in Euless for you.

To all you jerk offs talking about the compressors not working at NYTEX, your full of shit! I work there and everything works just fine! BEST ICE IN TOWN! and we will have beer and a FULL SERVICE resturant soon! so piss off all you NYTEX haters!

Anonymous said...

BAC, is there anyway you can track who submits what posts?

I think each of us should be grateful NYTEX is open. I moved into N.R.H. 4 years ago and freaked when I found out that there was once a rink close by called Blue Line and prayed that it would once again be open. Just like any business, they put in all the money and time because they need it to make money. I think we should ALL be supporting the rinks around here. As Scarlet's "Blade Babe" article in the I.T.M. states, "There was a time not so long ago when rinks in DFW were ... in short supply". SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SHEETS OF ICE. ALL OF THEM! ~ Wil #80

I hear the great Briscoe agree's the ice at NYTEX is really good. The locker rooms are in deed small, but the rinks make up for it.

For those of you who continually bitch about DPSD Euless or NYTEX or Tom or Knute or ringers for that matter - SUCK IT!

Have a nice day!

I give a short review of my NYTEX skills camp attendance @ pixelsyndicate.com if you are interested...
I didn't find the ice all that great, and indeed the locker rooms are so small that I might consider next time getting changed in my car. That's not going to keep me from supporting NYTEX as I can, however.
