Against the Wall

What does it all mean? A win in game four, does it just delay the inevitable? Is it the beginning of the 33 year prophecy? Is Morrow back?

What will you do if your Stars go home without the cup?

Onto other things . . .

Is it I-league or not? Who cares, with half of the games ending in shoot-outs last week, the competition appears to be almost equal. Saturdays are a great night for hockey players with lives outside of their games and without martial law descending on the rink, most of the players ain't leavin'.

How 'bout those Privateers? When these guys head for the rink it must look like the Partridge family loading up for a show. Not only do you have the Haley dad, son one, and son two, but the daughter also. There are also a couple of Payne boys on the roster. I wonder who their Danny Bonaducci is? Offensively this team is singing "Come On, Get Happy!"

. . . Before you start singing "I think I Love You", she's spoken for . . .

The play-off beard lives on for another day, the one thing that I am looking forward to about the end of the Stars run. I am not a beard guy. Morrow has his responsibilities to bear and I have mine.

The ice on the gold rink is already fighting the humidity. I thought I was skating on a snow cone. This is only May, we have a lot of slush to look forward to.

Can anyone recommend a podcast for learning Spanish? I have tried a couple and feel there must be better out there. I am like, year one Spanish.

I don't care what people say, I am pretty familiar with rock-n-roll history and I still thought that "Walk Hard" just sucked. Yeah, I got it, it just wasn't funny.

Gotta go, here comes the storm.

i'm with you on walk hard. a couple of giggles. overall just plain stupid.

no country for old men, on the other hand, was outstanding. wow.

and, since we're doing film reviews, i watched the original love bug movie (circa 1970) with my kids last weekend. you forget how great kids movies used to be. the film (shot in san francisco) looks fantastic, the writing is good, and i didn't have to cover my kids' ears a single time. you can't say that about kids movies these days.

Speaking of the Stars winning game 4! There were only 2 teams in NHL history to come from behind an 0-3 deficit and win a playoff series.

1943 the Maple Leafs were 0-3 to the NY Rangers and came from behind to win the cup.

1975 the Penguins were 0-3 to the Islanders and came from behind to win the series.

If the Stars do the same thing. It will be the biggest news this century in sports. It will surpass the Red Sox come back on the Yankees in 2004.

I firmly believe the Stars will pull this one off and make history.

we all need to send a shout out to keffer (he is one of our zamboni guys). during the game last night, some morons thoght it would be a good idea to through and octopus on the ice, twice. but each time chris was the one to hustle out and clean it up. i feel confident that was the first pus he has picked up in a long time!

Hey, B.C.

I am right there with you on the old movies. I am surprised by how easily my kids are lured into a lot of these dated films, both of mine have an appreciation for the Marx Bros., Popeye, and a couple months ago they were both laughing at BUSTER KEATON! I was amazed, no sound . . . Except their laughing.

well, for the sake of accuracy, there are only two haley kids... john haley is our uncle, my dad's brother. i would make a family tree on here but it would be like, way the hell too big.
i have no patience for that octopi trash. get that shit out of dfw.
regardless of how this series ends, i will be satisfied if at the end of the day, someone hits draper in the face with a stick.

BCIII doesn't know your family tree!

Well, you have to forgive him. He is studying for the TAKS with BAC.

it would be awesome if the stars won and before game 6 started people started dumping octopus in the detriot bench

Keffer, I see, modified his octipi-grabbing tactics as the night went on... There is nothing like experience!

His first attempt was with a snow shovel, which appeared to simply stretch-out what anatomical portions WEREN'T already frozen to the ice. He finally just picked it up and placed it on the shovel.

The second one was disposed of using a Gatorade towel and an ice-scraper. most entertaining!

You should all be thanking Detroit for bringing some hockey history to your tiny little lives.

GO Red Wings!

and in return, the stars will be bringing a little history into the lives of detriot fans.....by coming back from 0-3
