I-League Schedule Out...

Finally the schedule has arrived for the I-League fall session. A couple of notes on this session, straight from Knute.
-One Division.
-Equally Competitive Games: Teams playing each other won't be as one sided in the past...Teams play other teams of similar skill. Pretty much top teams won't really be playing bottom teams from last session.
-REDRUM has unfortunately been dissolved and remaining players formed into team "2 Pints".
-We still don't know much about team "True.com". If someone knows something, please share with the rest of the class.

So here is the schedule for the next 3 weeks.

Rumor has it that the Phantoms have declared Euless DPSC to be their home ice....
Discuss.

Tell Knute that you cant (or shouldnt) judge how good or bad a team is going to be based on the previous season. For example, we lost several (good) players to D-league but still will be considered "top tier" because of last seasons results.

Thats right cause the Phantoms are the shiznit

Hmmm... If the top teams only play each other, and bottom teams only play each other... It's possible that at the end of the season, the tiebreakers could play a huge role in determining who plays for what place.

The Phantoms will get their heads handed to them on a regular basis in D-league....

Yes while you are still sandbagging it in I League.

Duran:

D-League schedule could be forthcoming. Stay tuned here. When we have it, you'll have it.

As loyal readers may have noticed, we've expanded coverage beyond the I-League. Tell your friends.

Thanks.

Pats must be all teenagers who have to be in early on Saturday nights. I've never seen a single team with three 7:45 starts in a row, let alone in a season! Must be nice...

OLN demanded the Patriots for the Prime Time Games.

It makes sense, though ... There should be some benefit for finishing well the previous season ... the higher the finish the better the ice times ... gives us all something to play for ... (besides bragging rights). Want better ice times ... then finish better.

BTW, the USA Hockey video states that the new rules are not meant to eliminate clean body checks. Does that mean the I-League is going full-contact? Or that we can only contact clean bodies? In which case ... no contact ... bwa-ha-ha
