The number one ranked team in the Majors looked to roll over the Pats on their way to the Keg, but the Patriots had a plan. Travis Lehr puts the Pats up first, Joel Blix ties it up. The Bats take the lead in the second, goals from David Tratham and Blix cancel out the early lead from Brad Allen's goal. The Pats regain the lead with Allen and Lehr again leaving a minute for the Bats to tie it-up. Did Danny's shot ring off both posts or the pad in the back of the net? The officials say no goal. The Patriots look forward to the match-up with former coach, Nate Hodges. Nate believes it is his destiny to play for the Keg every year. Perhaps, but he certainly hasn't won every year. . .
Brewzers (3-4-2) 4
DFW Titans (3-5-1) 3
Dead even in shots and goals after three periods, and an overtime, Josh Sutton proves to be the difference maker for the Brewzers. Not only did the controversial young player open the scoring for the game and then send it to overtime with a shorty, but he ends the fourteen player shoot-out. Titans lose despite goals from Tyler Klunder, Lincoln Foster, and Justin Mason. The Brewzers collect one goal from Matt Walker, in addition to the Sutton tallies.
Blue Devils (6-2-1) 6
Komets (5-3-1) 1
Oh the humanity! In what looked to be a tight match on paper the game falls apart almost immediately. The Blue Devils score two goals in the first: Charlie Heine, Danny Flinn. In the second, the Komets finally pierce the Devil front with Dustin Nation's goal making it two to one, no one believed it was close, despite the score. The Devils roar back with goals from Flinn, Billy Trull, Heine, and Scott Speelman. Was coach Al too concerned with the Cowboy's game? The Devils are dissecting the Patriot's game at this very moment.
Snipers (3-5-1) 2
Stickmen (4-4-1) 1
The Stickmen debut Jesse "Lunchbox" Henderson in net, the Snipers respond with a call to local celebrity Mike Moore. And, it's Moore who is exposed first when the Sticks take the early lead with Lynne Young's goal. But the Snipers regroup and limit the shots on net to ten, while firing back with a goal from Chris Davis. The Snipers get the win with a late third period goal from sometimes I-leaguer, Lee Miller.

The Puckers have made their climb from the I-league doldrums to the pinnacle of I-league (minor), with the second period goals of Rick Gregory and Jon Padilla, and the play of Turtle in the net, number one ranked LSI could find no path to the championship. Gabe Rivera and Katherine Levesque see their combined pointstreak, that lasted the entire session end in the first round. Is it for better or worse that the Puckers made their impact this session instead of last session, leaving me off the hook for cheerleading duty? Next up, the Whalers in the anti-Keg game.

Privateers (6-3-0) 1
The Whalers again triumph over the Privateers, due in large part to the play of Gregg Mata in net. The first period was the site for all of the Whaler's offense, a goal to Andy Thomas and then to Paul Thurston "Howell III" Mata turns away thirty Privateer shots, the lone goal against comes from Bob-O. You can't really call it a grand defensive effort, the play concentrated itself in the Whaler end, the Whalers only managed eight shots on net. What sort of drama and excitement awaits in the anti-Keg match-up of these two powerhouses?

Grave Diggers (4-5-0) 5
In the first the Wings kept it close, Jason Neal's goal is sandwiched between the Digger's Billy Quinn and Randy Chappel. The Diggers make the most of the openings provided by the so-called Silverwing defense with three more goals: Bruce Davis, Bobby Sirkis, and Quinn again. Bobby's goal is met with a chorus of boos from the Wing bench, and taints the performance of the Diggers in the eyes of the media and the fans.
Team Euless (1-8-0) 1
Chiefs (4-5-0) 0
Euless finally gets a win. The score was actually seven or eight to one, all but one of those goals come on my watch. I gave-up a lot of chances to the Privateers and their personal vendetta against me, they made me pay. I still don't know the nature of the fights that caused the removal of four players from the rink. It was inspiring to watch the first pair of fighters leave the rink simultaneously (a mistake not repeated by the solitary ref), through the glass no one could hear what they were saying to each other, then you could feel the dread and helplessness of everyone on the rink watched them walk toward each other. . . they bumped knuckles and went to their respective lockers. The second fight did not offer any such redemptive conclusion.

Best play of the weekend: Ellis trying to take the face off in the Team Euless game. That was amazing.
Surprise anyone that the game with the privateers (euless) ended with more fights?
I think it was only 5-3, and the Chiefs played the first period with no goalie....
Privateers already had their chance at the chiefs, and if I remember correctly they lost (thats when the chiefs actually played with a goalie the entire game opposed to last night)...
anyone else tired of playing against the privateers? not necessarily the talented players, but the attitude that they play with. seems like every week you read about them some one on their team fighting with some one. and their lame apology is always 'its hockey' and 'we always go upstairs'. your team had 80 PIMs this session, 34 minutes more than the next team in the minor division. 34 PIMs is more than 5 of the teams totals and 3 times as many as my chiefs. (and my team has jimmy freaking welch!!) hockey is a fast moving sport and people occasionally run into people, thats hockey. what isn't hockey is all of the stuff in between the whistles, or mainly at the end of the game. i, like everyone else, wants to win, but this isn't major junior or pro hockey and i won't be fired monday morning if i fail to do so.

Grave Diggers - just like last week, you guys prove to be a great team to play against. You guys are so fun and playing against you all really puts the enjoyment back in I league.
Everyone one of you guys have such a wonderful personality and I loved how we all cracked jokes and enjoyed our game dispite the outcome.
I look forward to playing along side you all next session and off course against you again :)

The euless game was 5-3 Privateers?
I for one love trash talking. It's a strategy, and it certainly does work when the other team gets all worked up. Mata is a f#cking AMAZING goalie. That guy stopped damn near everything. The other Whalers played great too. You can get mad and get tired of playing the Privateers, but you all know when you look at the schedule and you see our name next to yours in the up coming weekend, you get a little anxious.
We don't mind to be that team everyone loves to hate. We are a team of Ellis's. Trash talking guys and a gal who like to have fun. Don't want to play against us? Move to Duncanville. That place can pamper your lighter needs for a game.
One last thing, it all starts when Hamstra 98 *think that's his name* kicked my skate out from under me in front of the net. That's when trash talk is on. I have no problem with the guy and it was a damn good move! It was sneaky and it worked. Our kinda game. I praise the Whalers in their win because it was one of the most fun games. If I run my mouth its to get under your skin and slow down your game. Whether you take it personal or not, its up to you..... I'm having fun, win or lose. No grudges or real hatred here. Except maybe Dahms. HAHA!
I also think the privateers are a team full of a-holes, however I love playing them. Just go out there, hit em in the mouth and listen to them wine like little baby girls for the rest of the game. Everyone includeing the goalie will cry like a 12 year old if you push first and then they will crack because they are so pissed off that they cant really do anything about it.
maybe the league shouldn't be broken up into major/minor, but clean/dirty. its obvious that some people just like to play and some just like to try to irritate people.

True, I did use one of the oldest tricks in the book and take your feet out from under you in front of the net. however, it was more like a tap than a kick. I respect you more than the rest of your team. I feel like you, I dont take it personally, and after the game its all left on the ice, for the most part anyway.

I have no problem with the occasional checks, slashes, hooking, etc or whatever I encounter, but a week ago was the worst ever in my whole 2 years on ice. We played the Privateers and I dealt just fine with the usual punches to the back of the head their specific player pulls. It was when I got tripped, checked into the boards, then while I was down and pushed against the boards--I GOT KICKED IN THE HEAD SO HARD IT ACTUALLY CRACKED MY HELMET!!! This is way past any friendly rivalry or even fierce competition--the Privateers need to lay off the head shots and start skating instead or just get removed altogether. I am still having neck issues over a week later and had to buy a new helmet as well. WTF is a team like this even existing for? If I had gotten kicked a few inches lower his skate would have gone through my neck instead. If you want dirty fights go to MMA instead of hockey. One of these games this guy is gonna put some newbie in the hospital with serious permanent injuries. I'd rather see our teams having fun than hanging out with a teammate in the ER. You know which player you are--take into consideration the seriousness of the injuries you've already inflicted and what damage you might cause in your next rage before you act blindly. I'd hate to think of someone's time on ice with us coming to an end because of your temper and actions. This would be a good time to think about it and change your ways and start making friends instead of enemies.

Great points Mike. I am nearly 42 years old and tip the scales at 155 soaking wet. I'm absolutely willing to take any "punishment" that comes from playing/learning the game, and I think we all enjoy and expect the contact (and maybe even the trash talk) that is part of the game. Mike, if what you are saying is true, these are things that get NHL players suspended, traded and fined tens of thousands of dollars... not to mention the injuries that come with it. I may not be great at explaining myself, so please take a listen to this. Whenever you hear the word "softball", just substitute the word "hockey". You'll see what I'm talking about.

Wow Mike I agree! That is way out of hand HOWEVER, we do not go for the newbies, nor intentionally hit people when they are down. We just pick out those who are good and slow them down. Another tactic. We certainly don't go out there looking to bump, hit, or crack skulls. This isn't wrestling, boxing, cage fighting, or anything for that matter more than INSTRUCTIONAL HOCKEY. Our whole team understands that. HOWEVER, we do push back, and sometimes its a little hard, yes. But the ones we push back on are those who are the better ones. We all take notes and see. Strategy for the better ones, slow them down. It's all fun, we don't want to hurt anyone....Now we do run into the newbies when we aren't looking and skating fast. That has happened a lot of times. I hit a Whaler the previous game before the play offs and I believe it was number 15, a woman. I hit her hard and felt bad. I know she was pissed but how do you say sorry when you are a Privateer? Its automatically intentional from all other perspectives. You shouldn't be afraid to play us or even hang out with us upstairs. We aren't the a-holes you guys probably think we are.... well, some of us. HAHA!
As for number 98 on the Whalers, he gets it. I think out of all the Whalers, we singled him out and number 1 more. He told one guy on our team he was going to kill him and another he was going to break their neck. That's hockey to me. But honestly do you think he was serious? No way. I mean if he was, I think the guy would have tried a little harder to kill someone or break someones neck. You can clearly see its all for fun on the Whalers and that's why I like to play them. Another about that team, they have changed that entire team from losing almost every game, to a well tuned team that is a now rival. That too is hockey. Start bad, get better. No ones dream here is to go pro. That boat left all of us years ago.
As for your neck and helmet. I am sorry, but I doubt it was intentional. I have had my run ins and my broken equipment. Hell, playing the Whalers I got a big bruise on my hip. I enjoy it. Let's me feel like I accomplished something. Number 4 *one of our fastest skaters* on our team got tripped going full speed towards the net and went sideways into the goal post with his kidney. He could barely get up after that and is still hurting and having issues. The ref called the penalty, and that's life. Take your hits, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. It happens. We are all on the ice chasing a little saucer shaped piece of rubber trying to put it into a net. Meanwhile there are sharp knives on the bottoms of all our feet in order to play on an unfamiliar terrain. We all know the dangers.
Final thought, I don't speak for all the people on my team. These are just "Bob-o Teer" thoughts and views. Perhaps we are that team in the movies that gets off the prison bus with bars all over the windows and everyone is like son of a b#tch, we are playing these guys? Don't hold grudges. To everyone in this league, I know emotions can run high and some players have the competive nature to were they hate losing. I know it because I'm one of those players. I'm an ex-football player and I was tauaght to hate the team in the opposite color jersey and I developed quite a meanstreak. And yes I was flagged for too many 15-yd personal fouls. And that meanstreak was carried over to hockey and I was getting into too much trouble with both the hits and the trash talking mouth. I was cause too much trouble to the point were I was losing respect from not only my opponents, but my teammates as well. And I'm one of the very few 300 plus lb. hockey players playing right now.
For this last year I learned to contain those emotions and trying to be a well respected hockey player. For everyone out there, we got to remember we are only out here to have fun. To the Privateers, I have a lot of respect for you and I don't want to cause trouble for you or any team. To the Privateers as well as the Chiefs who I play for, lets put last Saturdays game behind us and forget about it and lets think about spending Christmas with family and friends.
To everyone: Please do not drink and drive this holiday season!

HAHA! People are getting mad. You all say we complain... look at yourselves. Take it easy, have fun. It's not about who wins this argument of whether or not we play too rough. We are going to keep playing the way we play regardless of how much you guys complain. The fact is, since we started Euless in the Spring time of 2008, we made an impact. Whether it be in the side of your body or just in the league all together. The only thing I imply is that I enjoy playing against you, and playing with you guys. Sure I cuss, rub goals in your face, and like to get under your skin. In the end leave it on the ice. Go upstairs and celebrate good times. I am sorry if we give you bruises, but I assure you, we get them back. We just don't go parading around saying this guy or that guy.
BTW, we get our rough play from drop ins. Once you play with those guys which the majority are in the C+ leagues, you take on their style of play.
One last thought, if you think we play too rough, isn't it our problem that we spend a lot of time in the penalty box? It's to your advantage that we play games with one man down. So quit whining and score during that time! Oh and Merry Christmas to all! May your bruises heal by that day in time to open presents and eat that BIG Christmas dinner! i just want to comment on a few points your brought up and then i am going to take jimmy's advice and try to have a happy holiday.
let me ask you one question. if you were up in the cross bar and i walked up to you and punched you in the face, after the fighting ended, would you consider what i had done to be a cheap shot? would you hold a grudge against me and still not like me if you saw me some place else, say the lobby of the star center? what if i got on here and said it was nothing personal and to leave everything that happens in the cross bar, in the cross bar? i know that is an extreme example, but it is an example none the less. the leagues we play in are non checking. so when out of the blue someone comes and 'hits' you, most people will consider that cheap. the problem i have with hitting/checking/whatever you want to call it in I league is that most people are learning the game at a latter age, and checking is not taught to them. people don't know how to give or take a hit; which is taught at a much younger age. as an ex 'better player' that you speak of, it kinda sucks to have people trying to take a run at you when they don't know what they are doing. i have been playing hockey for about 5 years now and 2 of those years were in i league. i can't tell you how many times i have had to get stitches in those 2 years because someone would try to check me, miss, and follow through with a stick or elbow. since you said you accidentally hit a female, if a female was the best player on a team would you guys try to hit her?
i am a C+ player and i don't have to play that way to be effective. and my C+ team certainly doesn't play that way either. i can tell you that the games are more fun when both teams are having fun and skating hard.
finally, i'll leave you with this question. if your team is good enough to have a game plan, why not move up a level? i know every team has a game plan, i tell my chiefs and grave diggers that the game plan is to shoot the puck ON net all the time. but that is about as advanced as we get. serously, if your team is good enough to scout other teams and know who the best player is, maybe you should consider moving up a level...games are funner at the C+ level....half of the people that currently play I league can tell you that.

Hey Privateers, if you want to play rough why don't you call out Hockey Team in D-league. I think you would change your gameplan once they got done with you. Just remember you guys are so tough you chose to be in the lowest of I-leagues.

I certainly can see what you are getting at. I will TRY to keep this short...
We KNOW who the players are that are just learning, we DO NOT go after them, nor do we intentionally play rough with them. As a matter of fact, we don't get together before a game and say we are going to be rough, it just happens. Ask Stone Cold or any other person who has ever subbed with us from another team. Honestly, they will all agree, *because they have told us* we are just intense. If you ever played on our team, we would stick up for you and you would be treated like one of us.
I don't hold grudges PERSONALLY. If someone hit me by the cross bar, it would probably be because I was running my mouth. Ask how many Whalers wanted to do that... I am sure at one point all of you did. I think it was number 5 who was getting pretty mad and I knew he was dying to hit me. Had he hit me, no grudges. I ran my mouth, some times things get out of hand, I realize tempers flare. There are sometimes consequences for actions. All I am saying is that we don't look to hit first. I haven't even been playing a year yet. I am still a noob, newbie, or whatever you call them. I am still learning and I have been roughed up by other teams. It's what happens. I hold no anger and I have no problem with them.
We are looking at moving up to the upper I league division next season. So that you can count on. A lot of us would love to move up to D league, HOWEVER, money and date issues occur. Not all of us can play twice to three times a week. That's why a lot of us do drop ins once to twice a week. To feed that need.
I am not trying to say anyone on here is right or wrong. I am not trying to say our team is a bunch of Christians or Saints. All I am trying to say is every team has a different style of game play. Ours isn't intentional like people think. We don't look to put anyone in the hospital, we don't look to hurt anyone or fight anyone. We just want to play hockey and yes, have a good time.
In the end, I feel everyone is making valid points on both sides and we could go back and forth forever. With that said, see you all next Saturday. Good luck against the Puckers, Whalers and the other way around, Whalers, Puckers. It should be a good game to watch. I like seasons that end like this. A total surprise. Everyone once thought it would be LSI vs. Privateers for the top spot. I assure you though, we play just as hard for the number three spot as the number one..... take care Merry Christmas!
Bob-o, the game I sub in for your team 2 seasons ago. Your team was on their best behavior that night, only 1 minor penalty and you beat the Warriors 1-0.
You guys thrive on winning games rather than having fun. I know it cause I've been there before. I see you guys get very frustrated and get very chippy everytime your down on the scoreboard. I've been there before and did the same shit.
Your team lost to the Chiefs earlier this season and lost to the Whalers last Saturday. Your teams frustration boiled to the point were you have to take it out on us. Believe me I learned from all the teams I play on that kicked me off their squad, it is not worth getting frustrated and try to beat the living shit out of an opponent by throwing cheap shots.
It's great to be a winner, but you guys need to learn be a good loser and display good sportsmanship. Please lets have some fun!

Has anyone noticed how almost all of the discussions on this board revolve around the MINOR I-league?? Not only is it I-league, but bottom half of I-league!!...Sure a few of you are almost undefeated! But half of those wins are against Team Euless (which is a horrible idea in my opinion) :)
Props go to all of the teams that don't have to worry about making themeselves feel good by arguing everyweek on here because they are in the I-league MAJOR. And props go out once again to the Blue devils who seem to be holding on once again to their ever dominant reign; the Whalers, who went from being the worst team in the league last season (did they even win a game? I dont remember...) to potentially one of the best teams in the Minor I-league; and the Komets, who other than their loss to the BD have been looking hungry for the title as of late.
Oh, and just to throw in my two cents on all of this whole discussion...This is a "non-checking league"...My understanding then is that you should try to avoid intentionally targeting the better players and "slowing them down" by checking them or whatever you want to call it.

When I said "Slowing down better players" I didn't necessarily mean checking, I meant defensive pressure. However, bumps do occur, when they do, almost every time we get a penalty.
I am not defense, I am a mediocre forward who has spent 2 min total in the penalty box this season.
I have been hit numorous times by other players and I have done nothing and shown no aggression towards them. Just this season I have changed my ways after being hit and had my fair share of cheap shots in front of and around the opposing teams net. I run my mouth and play a little more aggressive. It's nothing personal, nor do I take winning or losing harshly. I don't care, either way. The opposing team that wins or looses will always get a hand shake and a good game from me.
The only thing that's wrong here is everyone calling out one team. *Even if we have the most penalty minutes, we were just caught more* HAHA! All teams have their guys who play aggressive and hit. It's normal, it's hockey. It takes two to get into a fist fight. We don't attack players like the animals people are making us out to be.
If it's a big issue to all, we should be talking to the refs to call the game more tightly and to eject players sooner before it esculates into fights. I haven't been in a fight and don't desire to.
Bolt from the Puckers was telling me he accidently ran into Dahms from the Chiefs and Dahms got in his face and said, "You want to go, we'll go right now" Bolt replied, "It's a rink not a ring."
That was after the Team Euless vs. Chiefs game sat night.
Before you call us out, look at some players on your team who like to play I League rough. It's not only us. Every team has their hooligans! But that doesn't stop me and shouldn't stop anyone else! HAHA!

you are ridiculous. your conduct and your so-called strategy are ridiculous. and, it's dangerous. you do not skate well enough to do what you say you are trying to do. you are going to hurt someone, probably by accident, because you cannot stop, or cannot control your stick, or cannot skate with your head up.

so, take a deep breath and have some fun. when you are ready to move up, do so. d league and c league are not "two to three times a week." we play one night a week during the fall-winter season.

I think a lot of people are missing a major point from the Chiefs/Privateers game from Sat. night. Remember: There was only 1 ref (Olsen went home) and that 1 ref could not see everything and to be honest I don't think he really wanted to be there either...so some of the little tickey-tack crap went uncalled and once that happened it escalated into worse stuff. Guys were getting frustrated for him missing offsides, checking, slashes, hooks, (insert penalty name here) and then that grew into taking it out on the other team. Like Bob-O, I am not saint either, but also I can vouch for Dahms and tell you that that guy never starts anything, he is only defending himself on what he feels is dirty players or plays. He does get targeted a lot because he can actually skate, but he never would intentionally hurt anyone.

I am the woman that you hit on the whalers...and I love the fact that you didn't mention that it was a shot from behind so I couldn't even see it coming. I am by no means one of the better players on the Whalers and am out there trying to have a good time. There are no hard feelings, but I still think it was a cheap shot.

BTW Blake, one of the refs of the game was right there when I hit you. He saw it wasn't intentional and didn't feel the need to call it. Like I said, I am not one of those who looks for fights and even checks people. I am new, I run into people just like the rest of the new guys. I still haven't learned the art of keeping my head up....

I-league is for learning to play hockey. If you are a bad enough skater that is going to break his or her neck after being bumped, then you need more time in public skating skating or stick and puck sessions. If someone intentionaly bumps you on the ice, try sticking up for yourself. If you are too weak, then get help from a team mate. As for the players who play dirty and try to hurt people, I've found that if start bumping them around, they usually get so upset that they'll get themselves kicked out. Then after the game, say something to Tom about it. Crying about it here will get you nowhere. Also, it just makes you look like some poor sap that needs to play a different sport. Other than that, I lookfoward to the prvihaleys moving up next session so I can see if it's as much fun as everyone is saying.
And for the record Bob-O, no matter how hard you try, the Blue Devils will always be the most hated team, so you guys might as well just quit trying to get there.

For number 15 from the Whalers, I never have, nor ever will hold hard feelings. If you think of it from my perspective, I was looking to the right then boom. I was hit. I got up asap and moved into the zone where the puck was going. It wasn't my intent to skip a sorry.... ;)
I really have to stop posting comments on here. I feel like a loser checking this every time I get on to check my myspace and facebook. I mean, is it really as important as those two now? I'm off to play Halo 3.

First--I woudln't say the Blue Devils are the most hated team in the league by everyone--I actually really like playing ya'll and I'm proud of the cuts in my skates from the keg game a few seasons ago and the bumps and bruises. You guys put up a really good fun game and the bruises from the game have been legit from having fun and playing hard. I've even practiced with a few of you at different rinks and get along great.
Second--I wasn't trying to single anyone out or put the spotlight on one person, which is why I did not list a jersey number and name even if it is still fresh in my mind. It's possible I may have made a mistake in naming the team rather than just the issue to capture the players conscience--my bad--sorry.
Third--the issue and point to hit home--I was tripped and checked into the boards--no big deal, it happens. The major deal for me was that while I was down flat on the ice and against the boards I got kicked in the head HARD--I'm more hoping for a change in attitude and how we approach the game--leaguewide headshots need to be 100% eliminated. Does anyone remember when they said if Modano got a few more concussions his career would be over? He would have been famous, but wouldnt have reached his milestone if the NHL didn't crack down on headshots. There have been a few other incidents in the NHL resulting in a coma, broken neck discs, etc..that led to the rule crackdown. I don't care if it's a punch, crosscheck or whatever--no headshots whatsoever. It is 100% unacceptable and uncalled for.
Fourth--When your temper gets the best of you, you are doing your team no good--make a line change and refocus. Keep the game fun. I can agree with the above-- I Leaguers are far from being pros or even awesome at what we do. This league is for having fun and learning and playing hard but clean to get better and move up.
Most people I meet at the faceoff we shake hands and tell jokes before the puck drops and have fun the entire game. We've run into each other several times but have even helped our opponents back up on their skates. Often the person across the ice is someone we hang out with, go to church with, drink beer at Stars games with, or even donate blood. No one is NHL caliber, but everyone gets to live a very small piece of their personal dream and have fun. Let's not ruin any of that.
I hope everyone steps on the ice next time and shakes hands with a grin committed to a clean fun game.

Shit damn. I leave town for a day and my team is declared the antichrist. Mike- what team do you play for, if you don't mind me asking? Do you remember what number the player was who maliciously kicked you in the head? I know the guys on my team and I can safely say that no one would do something like that intentionally. I'm not saying that didn't happen, but our intent is never to injure, believe it or not. We never really addressed this, but total assholes out to hurt people (well, one in particular) is the reason we left Duncanville in the first place. Some guy on an opposing team checked one of our guys who was just going behind the net to get a puck, and he did it so hard that our friend and teammate had to have 2 surgeries and months of P.T., and hasn't played hockey since. When we told this douche what happened, he responded by telling my brother he was next and trying to check him while his head was down. So yeah. That's why we're a little protective of one another, hence the penalty minutes- but no one wants to be that guy, even when angry.
That's why we got so pissed at Dahms on Saturday. This whole idea that the game getting out of hand was all us is bullshit, sorry. If you want to talk about people getting too rough, we need to talk about his ass tearing off Cody's helmet in an f-ing forfeit game. Why would you do that ever, especially in a game that doesn't count? The rest of the Chiefs are totally cool as far as we're concerned.
I'm not saying none of our tempers get out of hand (mine does, regularly), but we manage to play plenty of teams without hard feelings. I'm gonna call bullshit on all you blameless saints who have been terrorized by the privateers.
On a more positive note, the minor keg championship couldn't include two more deserving teams. We genuinely really like the whalers and the puckers, and are psyched to drink beer and watch them play.
Can you guys just take a chill pill with all of this stuff...its Christmas for crying out loud. I find it funny that all of the I minor teams/players that are on here complaining seems to be the same ones that use to complain about ringers when the divisions were combined. Now you are complaining about rough play...geez you guys can't be happy no matter where Yockey puts you! Please tell me I-Minor is not full of a bunch of Man-ginas!

Proud to be a member of the Patriots and the Grave Diggers, apparently two of the best thought of teams in either I-league. I enjoy virtually every minute I'm on the ice with them.
By the way, P.S. stands for post script, so to tag on additional post scipts the correct format would be: P.P.S., P.P.P.S., P.P.P.P.S., etc. . . That's for Bobby and for regular multiple P.S.-er Ryan Haley. That's alls I can stands, and I can't stands no more!

I find it interesting that a man who has had less than a year's experience under his "hockey belt" is trying to act like he knows how it feels when you can actually skate and make a difference. It is easy to say "no hard feelings" when no one picks on you because you can't skate and you suck so bad. Just a thought... (Any bets on how long Fag-o's next post will be? I'm going with 500 words)

Have you ever thought of the possibility that since I-league does stand for "instructional", maybe, just maybe, if you have been playing in it for years and years (which it sounds like YOU have) and you still haven't moved up to D-league, then you are potentially the one that "can't actually skate and make a difference" and "sucks so bad." Since you are posting as "Anonymous" I couldnt check your stats. But I checked out
Bob-O's and he is actually one of the leading scorers on his team....Looks like he is actually contributing....are you?
P.S. I am not suggesting that anyone who stays in I-league for years on end "sucks so bad" as I stated above." It is a personal decision, and based on different circumstances, but at the same time, you shouldn't make the same assumption that someone who has been playing for less than one year automatically "sucks so bad" either...
