Reign of censorship ends

Please behave accordingly. We're not prudes, but we'd rather not have slander or smut interfere with good, clean, American trashtalk.

Let the trashtalk fly, and don't forget to have some fun.

Go Blue Devils.

both blue devils teams are ringers who both need to move up a level

to the above comment.....who cares? do you play in either the c or d league? if you don't, then how do you know if the players you mention aren't the worst players in those leagues?

hey pal: the blue devils have won one league championship (last summer's championship in d-league) in all of their nearly 10-year history. they have zero i-league titles.

everyone knows that the Blue Devils lose on purpose in order to stay in the lower leagues

look at point streak and tell me they are not the worst in the league! ringers

every team can get lucky and win a few games here and there. few sessions ago, grave diggers were an OT goal away from being able to skate for the keg. you telling me that once a team gets lucky and wins a few they are automatically ringers?

"everyone knows?"

well, you've certainly built a strong case for your argument.

strong words from a blue devil....did we touch a nerve

There should be no argument made on who is playing for the keg. This is the most evenly competitive I-league I've seen in a while. Any of the 16 teams could of competed for the keg. It is a matter how hard a team a skates and is determined to win.

And there is always going to be bounces and judgemental calls go in favor or against teams. The Patriots experience 2 tough loses and now they're playing for 3rd place. The team I play for (the Chiefs) skated their butts off and got a couple of good bounces go their way to beat the Stickmen.

It is like "Any given Sunday". Anything can happen. The Blue Devils & Ice Holes deserve to play to for the keg, cause they earned it.

And for you whinebags who want to remain annonymous and get on everyones nerves. S.T.F.U. and play the game.

Stone Cold,

I agree. I'm not positive, but I think the Privateers missed being in the Top 4 bracket by a point, and we played in plenty of games that could have gone either way. We're very happy with the level of competition in this league.

I just wish we could either go to a 15 week season (so we could play every other team) or a 14-week season with two divisions (and you'd meet every other division team twice). Actually, make that a 17-week season: two divisions of 8 teams...play every team in your division twice...then three weeks of playoffs, with the top four in each division running two rounds, then the division winners playing for the keg.

Sorry, no clue why I veered off into that. My original point was that the competition is good, and we haven't seen anyone that looks like a team of ringers, though none of us (even the teams who struggled this time) much resemble I-League teams from when I started years ago.

Just in case in anyone has forgotten. The Privateers made us look so incredibly stupid this season. They kicked our butt and woke us up! So ringers we are not!

Then there was the game against the Titans where we played a period and a half without a goalie, and only allowed 5 shots on net. We went down 3 by three shots and still pulled off a win.

And let's not forget the game where we only had 5 forwards and 3 defensemen...This team has shown a lot of heart this season.

We never blew anyone out...in fact the margin of points in our victories were so slim that they were anyone's game. Now I did have a game winning goal in one of our games, but a team of ringers? I have to say that I like being called a ringer though...totally awesome considering I can't even stop! oh I guess you were not talking about me :)
