i don't think ellis is the type of person that would bitch about ringers. i am pretty sure he wants to see the best players possible.
Perhaps... but it *is* still I-LEAGUE! The floating tearm (and practical application of the word) "Ringer" has a very broad range of meaning for instructional hockey leagues. If you can skate like a semi-pro *and* stick-handle like a semi-pro, then you don't belong. That might even be a valid definition for D through B league, I dont know. if so, then all the more when those people who play in I-League. It's kinda like an adult playing on a T-ball team of 1st graders... Even if you aren't a pro-baseball player, you are not challenging yourself and you aren't making game a pleasant experience for the little kids. Why is that such a difficult concept for some? 'cause they think being better than most everyone else lends to their "ice creds"... in reality, it makes them a douche.

if i go out and get schooled in C league by a guy from Finland, but then go skate around people in I leauge, it does help a little with confidence...and confidence does go along way in playing hockey...
?? I'm a Brown Belt in TaeKwonDo, but I don't go around kicking people up-side their heads to build my confidence... Real confidence comes with knowing you can 'survive' an encounter with a Black Belt. Not that I can tromp all over a Gold Belt.

Ellis, let it go and focus on the next game. Yes, Casey skated up and played Defense. But he didn't skate with the puck coast-to-coast to score. And he is not know as a hotdog on the ice. Casey didn't score the goal to beat us.

I have been playing and watching the ileague at euless for 1.5 years. There has never been anyone with semi-pro skills playing in that time period. Anyone that thinks so is just an incredibly terrible player and doesn't realize how bad he is. I have never seen anyone in the i league who is better than an average C-level player. And now the i-legue doesn't have anyone who is better than a good D level player.
In your limited 1.5 year opinion. I guess you aren't aware of people being kicked out of i-league for being over-skilled? U must be sleeping.
