Hockey Team Wins D-League In Thriller

Mike Ross scored on a Dave Stutsman assist eight seconds into overtime Friday night as the Hockey Team capped a furious comeback to win the D-League championship 4-3 over the Beerflyers. The Beerflyers seemingly had a 3-1 victory in hand in the final minute of regulation after Scott Prusha's empty-netter at the 14:11 mark. But in a dizzying chain of events, there were goals by Ross (again assist Stutsman) with 12 seconds to go and by Matts Lindquist (assist Ross) in the final second to force overtime. A pretty rough game: 12 penalties.

The Hockey Team finished 21-1-1 for 43 points. Congratulations, and enjoy the C-League, fellas.
